Athavan Rajasundaram is a Registered Architect with a passion for energy conscious building systems and materials. He came to the United States in 1999 for graduate studies at Arizona State University and obtained his MS in Building Science from the school of architecture specializing in both passive and active energy systems. He was also involved with the Del E Webb School of Construction at CREATE for his Research with Industry experts in Cleanroom Construction. He worked for Arrington Watkins Architects for close to ten years and currently works for DWL Architects and Planners. He is an AEE  certified energy auditor (CEA) and LEED accredited professional (both legacy LEED AP since 2004 and BD+C). He taught sustainability and LEED for a semester at Del E Webb School of construction as an industry expert. He started AZ Energy Consultants LLC in 2012 performing building energy modelling for LEED certification. He has hands on experience in various LEED projects and has conducted energy audits for the City of Phoenix. He lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife and two daughters.
